Quality Manager - Distribution Center

Ferguson is currently looking for a Quality Manager in our Distribution Center. A successful DC Quality Manager will be obsessed with quality improvement, experienced and highly committed to creating world class automation and able to develop and drive a high-level strategy, as well as take a hands-on approach to implementing that strategy.
+ Leads daily activities of a centralized distribution center including, but not limited to: reviewing, receiving, packaging, quality assurance and shipping of material/inventory from a supplier or to a customer in a timely manner.
+ Supports management in physical movement of inventory and supplies in, out and within of the central warehouse operation.
+ This position will establish work practices and monitoring methods of a ?Perfect Order Index? with in the distribution center?s operation.
+ Monitor inventory levels to aid in management of expenses, minimizing loss, and maximizing revenue
+ Conducts audits and reviews/analyzes data and documentation requiring a wide degree of creativity and latitude
+ Working with business and development teams to understand product vision and requirements
+ Understanding how all elements of the system software ecosystem work together and developing QA approaches that fit the overall strategy
+ The successful candidate is an experienced but hands-on manager who can build an organization and ensure it performs
+ Bachelor's Degree and 5 years? experience in a Quality leadership role
+ Strong knowledge of QA methodology and tools
+ Ability to understand technical specifications and analyze log files
+ Experience building successful automation systems and solutions
Preferred Qualifications
+ In depth quality assurance, inventory management and distribution center experience
+ Strong project management skills
+ Ability to motivate team to achieve business objectives
+ Ability to lead, drive change, and influence others
+ Excellent interpersonal and customer relationship skills to address quality issues
+ Ability to manage multiple and conflicting priorities
+ Solid understanding of Quality improvement principles, RCCA and Six Sigma
+ Strong people management skills, with a proven ability to hire and grow talented programmatic and user-level personnel
+ Experience working closely with development and business teams to communicate problem impacts and to understand business requirements.
+ Strong organizational skills, tracking multiple test executions simultaneously and are able to synthesize the results

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
