HR Manager

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for the execution of all human resources and safety & environmental activities and initiatives for a manufacturing plant of approximately 60 employees. This role will provide practical, consistent, and proactive support, direction and advice to the management team on HR procedures, policy, best practices, employee relations issues and benefits to facilitate in achieving the objectives and targets of the organization.
This position has ownership of all Safety and Environmental responsibilities for this facility, which requires a hands-on and proactive approach to communication, incident prevention, training, and technical reporting.

Job Responsibilities
Provide guidance and advice to managers on employee relations, attendance, disciplinary and performance issues
Recruits, screens, interviews and evaluates candidates for exempt, non-exempt and hourly vacant positions.
Responsible for administering and maintaining all HR systems and policies, including employee performance appraisals, compensation and benefits changes, and maintains compliance with corporate and governmental reporting requirements.
Process all areas of payroll on a weekly basis for both hourly and non-exempt personnel.
Lead all Safety/Environmental programs assuring plant adheres to all corporate policies and procedures.
Serves as the key resource for Safety/Environmental reporting as site lead for all internal and external (OSHA, EPA) audits/inspections and reporting.
Manages all workers compensation claims, injury investigations, incident reporting and tracking.
Organized and facilitated new hire orientation and benefits re-enrollment meetings.
Conducts new employee orientation training on HR, safety and benefits policies and procedures of the organization.
Perform all duties as facility Training Coordinator including annual employee training related to safety policies and procedures.
Coach/counsel employees as needed.
This is a managerial role and may require additional responsibilities from those listed as assigned to align with the changing needs of the company.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
