Distribution Center Project Industrial Engineer

Fort Payne, AlabamaJob Summary:Industrial Engineer will use sound analytical methods, sophisticated software skills, advanced engineering knowledge, change management, and communication tools to yield highest productivity and efficiency gains. This role will be responsible for leadership in planning methodologies to provide cost saving and superior customer service through the implementation high impact initiatives. Also responsible for utilizing business transformation and process improvement principles with the intent of reducing operational expenses and improving customer service, and driving a "problem solving/continuous improvement" culture.
Key Accountabilities:
Accountable for building project plans that are consistently delivered on-time and within budget
Knowledge in applying continuous improvement techniques and analytical tools such as; lean and six sigma (DMAIC) to achieve improved business results.
Develops innovative ways to utilize data and metrics to flow product through our planning and distribution centers most efficiently and effectively.
Develop requirements for new processes, system enhancements, and material handling solutions to meet business requirements and improve overall flow and cost within the distribution center
Utilizes standard engineering process to conduct time studies and determine standard work guidelines.
Project Management:
Builds project and capital plans that are consistently delivered on-time and within budget
Develop and implement plans and programs for process modifications and revisions to operating methods.
Provides sound business case that will effectively deliver productivity/labor saving and superior customer service
Delivers planning processes that effectively and efficiently flow product through the Distribution Center.
Responsible for implementing supply chain process improvement initiatives being understood, communicated, executed, and measured across all upstream and downstream customers.
Track and monitor effectiveness of management routines and metrics; recommend and implement changes as needed to ensure business objectives are met.
Designs and conducts time studies and devises standard work routines and measurable productivity expectations.
Collaborate and communicate best practices with business leads and functional process improvement leads.
Analytical/Problem Solving:
Apply highly quantitative methods to business/delivery operations with the intent of optimizing total delivered cost and maximizing service levels
Analyzes and designs sequence of operations and work flow to improve efficiencies
Establishes methods for maximum utilization of all Planning and Distribution personnel.
Participate in the development of requirements and testing of all new material handling changes, systems and enhancements within the distribution center
Provide training and documentation as needed for all process and design changes
Proven track record for accuracy and excellent interpersonal communication skills that contributed to effective teamwork.
Utilize Lean Thinking, Six Sigma or other continuous improvement subject matter experts to continue professional development and gain knowledge of upstream and downstream challenges.
Develop and train Operations Analyst
Support and direct daily activities of the Operations Analyst
Provide direction and feedback to direct report
Education and Requirements:
B.S. Industrial Engineering
Support of the implementation of Warehouse management systems , and large scale material handling systems is a plus
Logistics or supply chain experience is a plus
Labor Management program experience inclusive of change management (progressive discipline policies, incentive programs, supervisor training, etc) is a plus.
Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Project, Access)
AutoCAD Experience is a plus
Excellent analytical, problem solving and communication skills

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
