Assistant General Manager

Assistant General Manager
Located in Fort Payne, Alabama
Reporting to the General Manager, the successful incumbent will be responsible for managing, updating and ensuring compliance to all Quality and Business Operating System requirements and promoting continuous improvement initiatives at A.P. Plasman and would be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

Assist General Manager in managing the operations to ensure no negative variances and expeditiously correcting variances as they arise
Working with the direct management team to ensure all customer requirements are met, and interacting with the customer as necessary
Working with the APP management team to ensure all expectations and targets are met for the organization
Assist in development & implementation of Quality and Business Operating systems
Develop and review plant production & capacity plans and associated inventory targets
Monitor and exceed customer satisfaction targets
Ensure that sufficient resources are available for each department including training, safety standards, personnel, business and shop tools through regular business meetings
Lead continuous improvement efforts in all areas of the business
Actively support and direct lean initiatives
Be an example to all employees in all areas of the business through demonstrated professionalism, positive employee relations, and the ability to make accurate and timely decisions
Promote an atmosphere of team work at all times
Ensure that a clean and safe work environment is always maintained
Complete any other duties as assigned
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR DESIGNATION REQUIREMENTS:
Must possess a post-secondary diploma or equivalent designation or equivalent experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering, with preference given to those who have completed some or all of a College/University level program
MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a mminimum of 7 years progressive experience in plant operations within a large automotive environment, with a minimum of 5 years in leadership roles.
Experience in paint applications related to processes / systems
Experience in tooling, plastic injection molding
Experience in assembly operations
Experience with GM, Honda, and Toyota production systems, with a preference to candidates with experience in lean manufacturing or Toyota productions systems
Experience in positive labour relations with employees in a union free environment

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
